The process starts with a design meeting where we will listen to your ideas and draw up an outline first draft plan together. The design meeting will generally take place in the comfort of your own home so it is easy for us all to visualise and check potential issues whilst we are there. Once the initial drawing has been agreed we will go away and our designers will work on the full design specification .

We will continue to work on the plans until you are 100% satisfied. After all it is your property and we want it to reflect exactly what you want.

Signature Construction UK will to come up with a full set of specifications and working drawings that can be submitted to your local council. We will ensure that the final agreed project drawings are project will meet planning and building regulations and are suitable for submission for planning applications.

We will submit the application and approval for planning permission and building regulations on your behalf and then monitor it and keep you up to date with any developments.

We are often asked whether or not planning permission is going to be required. As a general rule on standard extensions, loft conversions, alterations and extensions on the rear of properties, planning permission is usually not required as it is considered as permitted development. However, when the building work is going to change the outward appearance of the front of the property, then planning permission is more likely to be required. This is of course a general rule and it is essential to always check with the local planning authority before commencing work.

A building inspector will come out to check works at relevant stages and a certificate will be issued after final inspection.
